Launches seven new channels on its platform
Mumbai: In the constant endeavour to offer the best programming content to its subscribers, Tata Sky, the joint venture between the Tatas and Star, announced the launch of seven new channels on its platform. The new channels include a mix of niche lifestyle, entertainment, news, and regional movies, that will offer greater entertainment value to its growing premium subscriber base of over 4.5 million connections.
The new channels include Discovery Turbo, Discovery Science, ET Now, Zee Talkies, 24 Taas, 24 Ghanta and Sony Aath.

In addition, Tata Sky recently launched another innovative interactive service, Actve English. The first-of-its-kind across the globe, Actve English aims at enhancing conversational English amongst Indian housewives.
Actve English aims at providing Indian housewives with the confidence to speak English in day-to-day situations like PTA meetings, in malls while shopping, in banks, etc. The service focuses on conversational skills, grammar, pronunciation and tips on the nuances of the English language.
