North Delhi Power wins award from Utility Planning Network, USA

North Delhi Power (NDPL) has won an award from Utility Planning Network (UPN), USA, for ‘Best Revenue Assurance Initiative’ in the AMR / AMI category for the year 2008. The award was presented at a ceremony held in California, USA. NDPL was selected for the award from among various global peer utilities from Asia, Africa, Australia, USA and Canada. The utility peer group comprised state owned and investor owned utilities like the Pacific Gas & Energy US, Country Energy Australia, Duke Energy US, Southern California Edison US, Ontario Hydro Canada, and North Eastern Utilities US, among others.
 
The automated metering initiatives / automated meter reading initiatives and the electronic metering efforts together with extensive revenue assurance and protection initiatives to cut down AT and C losses have been largely appreciated by the utility peer groups in California.
