Tata BP Solar is the first soar company in India to have been awarded ISO 14001:1996 accreditation by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) certifying that the management system is in accordance with the requirements of the environmental standards and operational scope detailed below :

• Design, development, manufacture, installation and servicing of photovoltaic modules, products, systems and accessories for applications like lighting, pumping, refrigeration, grid connect, hybrid power, village power plants.

• Design, development and manufacture of solar photovoltaic cells.

• Design, development, manufacture, installation and servicing of solar thermal products, systems and accessories for domestic and industrial applications like water heating, drying.

Being already a promoter of renewable sources of energy, Tata BP Solar targets at reduced CO₂ emission levels per unit of production and also to continuously increase its contribution towards energy conservation by deploying solar energy systems for its own use.

Tata BP Solar, incidentally, is also the first solar company in India to be certified for ISO 9001 quality management standards by BVQI in Feb 1996.
