TCS honoured with Lilly Global Supplier Award

Pharmaceutical leader recognises TCS for information technology excellence

 

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: TCS.BO, NSE: TCS.NS), a leading global IT services and business solutions firm, today announced that Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), a leading innovation-driven pharmaceutical corporation, has awarded TCS the 2008 Global Supplier Award for information technology excellence.

The Supplier Award recognises suppliers who demonstrate superior performance with winning behaviours key to Lilly’s success. Awardees were chosen on the basis of measurable impact made by the supplier on Lilly's corporate objectives and priorities through the delivery of exemplary quality, speed, service and / or cost reduction.

Lilly chief executive officer John Lechleiter noted TCS’s exemplary contribution as an elite supplier of IT services and solutions during a recent ceremony at the company’s Indianapolis-based headquarters.
