Prizes galore for Tata Steel's ferro alloys & manganese division

 

Jamshedpur: At the All Orissa Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week 2002-03 function held on 19th January 2003 at Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC), Kaliapani, Tata Steel's ferro alloys and manganese (FA & M) division bagged 13 prizes on the final day, details of which are given below.

Mr Anang Uday Singhdeo, minister (mines), government of Orissa, and Mr PC Ghadai, minister of health and family welfare, government of Orissa, were present on the occasion, and gave away the prizes.

Sukinda Chromite Mine
3rd Prize - COB Plant on mechanical beneficiation
1st Prize - Publicity and propaganda
2nd Prize - Noise vibration survey and other scientific studies
2nd Prize - Afforestation
Spl. prize - Mr Balaram Panda, unit leader (environment & training) Tata Steel, SC Mine has won "Prakruti Bandhu" award for the fully mechanical category.
