Titan unveils new designs of gold and steel for the festival and wedding season

 

Titan, India's leading watch manufacturer has introduced new offerings of dual tone watches under the Gold & Steel Collection. The new designs that combine the contemporary appeal of steel with the classic allure of gold are in keeping with the celebratory mood and trend for the upcoming festival and wedding season.

The Gold & Steel Collection was introduced in April 2005 to redefine the style quotient of the core of the watch market — the huge gold watch category, which traditionally accounts for more than 50 per cent of the watches sold in the country. With the addition of these new designs, Titan aims to add shimmer to this season's accessory offerings. These new watches feature variants for men and women as well as pair sets ideal for gifting.

Says Mr Bijou Kurien, COO-Watches, Titan Industries Ltd, "This new collection has been introduced to cater to the upcoming festive and wedding season. These watches will appeal to a broad range of customers who are looking for a new style statement."

The Gold & Steel Collection has proved to be the biggest success story from the Titan stable in recent years with an impressive contribution of over 15 per cent to the total sales during the current financial year. While the collection was introduced to provide alternatives to the gold watch category, Gold & Steel actually managed to grow the overall watch market as sales of gold plated watches grew by 38 per cent in volume and 46 per cent in value during the current financial.

Priced between Rs 1,175/- to over Rs 4,600/-, the Gold & Steel collection is available across World of Titan stores, TimeZones, Lifestyle stores, Shoppers' Stop and other leading multi-brand watch outlets across the country.

The hugely popular advertising campaign featuring Aamir Khan in his new look will be on air, propagating and compelling buyers towards dual tone watches as the style statement for the season.
