Titan Industries  won the 1st runner-up award in the prestigious Lakshya’09 contest organised by NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering), Mumbai and supported by the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry).  The award was given for the project “Talent Management at Titan Industries” in the General Management and HR module.

 

Lakshya is NITIE’s annual international corporate festival where organisations across industry sectors viz., manufacturing, systems and IT, banking, FMCG, consulting, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, etc showcase projects depicting best practices, technological advancements, their implementation and impact. Breakthrough projects undertaken in various functions – HR, operations, supply chain, IT, etc compete to win the Lakshya Best Project award. The rigour of this process has been of very high standards. Each project undergoes two screening rounds before it reaches the final. An eminent jury panel comprising of around 10 stalwarts from industry, critically examine and then adjudge the projects. In the final round, Titan competed with players from across industry, like HP (Hewlett Packard), L&T (Larsen & Tourbo),  Maruti Suzuki and HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Company).
