Mumbai: Tata Housing Development Company (Tata Housing), one of India’s leading real estate companies, was honoured with the prestigious Master Brand award from CMO Council (USA) and CMO Asia at the first-ever Master Brand Awards in India. The Master Brand award was presented to Tata Housing by Donovan Neale-May, executive director, CMO Council (USA), on November 22, 2010, at the World Brand Congress 2010.
Keeping in mind the changing face of the Indian brandscape with a healthy mix of popular international brands and local homegrown brands emerging in every category, the Master Brand Awards were conceptualised with a vision to honour the best brands across different categories on both an individual and a brand level. 'Master brands' appeal to a very wide set of consumers — from premium to mass and were introduced this year by the CMO Council.
Speaking on the occasion, Brotin Banerjee, managing director and chief executive officer, Tata Housing, said, “We are extremely honoured to receive this prestigious award from the CMO Council. Awards like these are a testimony of our success in providing the best-in-class housing projects to consumers across the pyramid. This award will strengthen our commitment to create landmark products across the country.”
Tata Housing was recently honoured with the prestigious Best Developer — Corporate Social Responsibility for Shubh Griha (smart value homes) at the Cityscape Awards — Real Estate Asia, 2010, and five-star and four-star awards in Best Development Marketing and Best Development for New Haven and Shubh Griha, respectively, in Boisar, and the Best Architecture — for Privé, Lonavala — in the residential category at the Bloomberg Asia Pacific Property Awards.
