Voltas net zooms 268 per cent to Rs10 crore in Q1

- Voltas, a Tata group company, has osted a 268% rise in its net profit at Rs10.2 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, '03 against Rs2.8 crore in the same period a year ago. The net sales lor te reporting quarter grew by 2 5 % to Rs380 crore from Rs304.5 crore in April-June '02, the company said. The turnover in the first quarter was boosted by rise in business from the electro-mechanical projects and services segment which showed a 65% growth.
