TRF to have open fabrication yard

 
Jamshedpur: By way of augmenting its manufacturing facilitieshere TRF Ltd, a Tata group company, is soon to have an openfabrication yard.
 
TRF Ltd managing director Sudhir Deoras on Thursday laid the foundation stone and performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the open fabrication yard that the company plans to set up to augment its works manufacturing facilities here.
 
To be developed over five acres of land, the fabrication yard will be used by the company for manufacturing of large structures/equipment, etc.
 
TRF, a pioneer in engineering and supply of material handling equipment and systems for five decades, said all its divisions had during 2009-10 reported better performance than the previous year (2008-09).
 
Deoras also inaugurated two automatic CNC machines meant for round bar and tube cutting.
 
Bought from Modern Machine Tool Company of the US, the machines would help the company to increase productivity, reduce material handling time, attain higher accuracy and result in better customer service.
 
Speaking on the occasion, the TRF managing director said in order to become a Rs 2,500-crore enterprise, the company’s works would have to increase its turnover along with its other divisions.
 
TRF employees, union and management representatives also renewed their commitment today under the company’s Vision 2013 of achieving a five-fold growth in the next five years.
