CMC bags Rs 100
crore worth projects

CMC
Ltd has bagged new national and international
projects estimated at over Rs 100 crore in the
current quarter. These new contracts will be executed
over the next three months to a period extending
up to two year, CMC deputy managing director R.
Ramanan said. The projects are from National Bank
of Bahrain, Andhra Bank, Reserve Bank of India,
Bank of India and also from the State Government
of Karnataka. CMC’s projects for Bank of India
is an automation project spread across 475 branches,
whereas for Andhra Bank it would be setting up
IT infrastructure and would also be providing
network management services.
CMC
would integrate payroll and HR systems of RBI
in its offices spread across 475 branches.
Meanwhile,
CMC’s overseas business has grown 57 per cent
in the current financial year and the company
is planning to bag new projects in West Asia and
Asia Pacific markets. "CMC is evolving as
a domestic arm of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
We are now reinforcing commitment to government
and public sector companies," Mr Ramanan
said.
