Tata Business Leadership Awards

The TBLA (Tata Business Leadership Awards), launched in 2002, is a business case competition run as a key initiative of the Tata group for closely engaging with bright minds across premier business schools of the country visited by TAS for recruitment (B-School track) and employees within the Tata group (in-house track). TBLA, pioneered by the Tata group, has grown to become one of the most prestigious and coveted titles among business schools and in-house employees, and a platform for identifying great talent.

The objectives of TBLA are:

  • To strengthen the TAS and Tata group employer brand across premier business schools and group companies.
  • To identify talent by means of a compelling competition that is strongly aligned with the values and business challenges of the Tata group.
  • Engaging group leadership in selecting talent and enhancing the co-ownership for the process within the group companies.

Every year, a theme which is of key importance to the group is identified. Based on this theme, live business cases across companies are challenges participants are required to address. The best teams from business schools and group companies make it to the finals. The rounds are judged by senior Tata leaders, academicians and industry experts. The winners walk away with the coveted trophy and a host of other goodies.
