Second Careers Inspiring Possibilities

The Second Careers Inspiring Possibilities is a unique initiative which creates opportunities for women returning to the job market after a break

Tata SCIP (Second Careers Inspiring Possibilities) is a platform for women, who have taken a break from their career due to personal commitments, to restart their career. SCIP has been specifically designed to make the onboarding process of women returning to work after a break faster and more efficient.

The programme facilitates this by offering multiple second career options so that women can choose to return to work part-time or shift gears and dive into full-time employment.

Described as a 'career transition management programme', it focuses on developing alternative talent pools in traditional and non-traditional formats.

This pioneering programme was launched on International Women's Day in March 2008. Using this platform, Tata companies can post their short- and long-term talent requirements throughout the year and aspirants can log onto to view, select and apply for assignments.

The programme offers three formats — projects, consultant roles and full-time roles — and candidates can choose to apply as per their time commitments.
