TCS ranked a leader in life science manufacturing and supply chain IT outsourcing in an IDC MarketScape report

Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, announced today that it has been designated a leader in the life science manufacturing and supply chain IT outsourcing market by the prominent global market intelligence firm IDC Health Insights in its report, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Life Science Manufacturing and Supply Chain IT Outsourcing 2011 Vendor Assessment by programme director Eric Newmark.

IDC Marketscape reports are designed to identify factors for effectiveness and success in particular markets, both long term and short term, and then evaluate vendors in the market against those factors. Each vendor has been evaluated against 24 criteria divided between two main categories: strategy measures for success and capability measures for success. Within each of these criteria, IDC Health Insights has weighted specific criteria and sub-criteria that are particularly significant for life science companies evaluating IT outsourcing partners.

“We are honoured to be recognised as a leader in the life science manufacturing and supply chain IT outsouring vendor assessment from IDC Health Insights. TCS offers its life science customers unparalleled industry expertise and the technology, business and outsourcing solutions they need to improve their operational cost structure and grow their businesses,” said Debashis Ghosh, president, life sciences, manufacturing and energy business group, TCS.
