TCS BaNCS wins XCelent Customer Base Awards 2012

Ranked first in advanced technology and placed among top three in breadth of functionality

Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, announced that TCS BaNCS has won two of the 2012 XCelent Customer Base Awards. In a report titled Celent Big League Tables 2012 Celent ranked key players in the banking technology space and chose TCS BaNCS as leader in global core banking sales ranking. In addition, TCS BaNCS has also won the XCelent Western Europe ranking for its worldwide Deutsche Bank deal.

In a set of three other reports Core Banking Solutions for Large Banks, Core Banking Solutions for Midsize Banks, and Core Banking Solutions for Small Banks, respectively, TCS BaNCS emerged number one in advanced technology and finished among the top three in breadth of functionality. TCS BaNCS emerged first in the report for small banks, second in large banks and third in mid-sized banks.

Commenting on TCS BaNCS’s growing customer presence in Europe, Bart Narter, author of the report, said, ”In a relatively short time, TCS BaNCS registered growth both in Europe as well as Asia Pacific, which contributed to a growth swing in the big banks segment.
