Mumbai: Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in May 2012 were 64,347 vehicles, higher by 4 percent, over May 2011. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for May 2012 were 60,128 vehicles, higher by 6 percent, over 56,571 vehicles, sold in May last year. Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 124,433 vehicles, lower by 2 percent, over 126,353 vehicles, sold last year. Commercial vehicles Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 74,272 vehicles, a growth of 1 percent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales are 51,992 vehicles, a growth of 17 percent over last year, while M&HCV sales stood at 22,280 vehicles, lower by 24 percent, over last year. Passenger vehicles Cumulative sales of passenger vehicles were 43,161 vehicles, higher by 1 percent, compared to 42,788 vehicles, till May last year. Cumulative sales of the Nano are flat at 16,535 vehicles. Cumulative sales of the Indica range are 12,380 vehicles, higher by 27 percent. Cumulative sales of the Indigo family are 7,066 vehicles, lower by 26 percent. Cumulative sales of the Sumo / Safari / Aria / Venture range are 7,180 vehicles, higher by 3 percent.
