New Delhi: Tata Motors Full Throttle, the motorsport division of Tata Motors, flagged off its first expedition, Tata Motors Full Throttle Himalayan Experience, from the capital today. The Himalayan Experience will pass through five states, New Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, over a period of 10 days and cover a total distance of 3,000km. The expedition will culminate in Srinagar on July 1, 2012.
With over 30 utility vehicles by Tata Motors participating in the event, the expedition will transverse high mountain passes, beautiful lakes as well as deep gorges, allowing participants to experience varied terrains and weather conditions as they pass through each state. The expedition will also allow Tata Motors' customers a platform to experience the true capabilities of their favourite Tata SUV’s, as they explore off-roading in a planned and organised manner.
Tata Motors is associating with Cougar Motorsport as the programme partner for planning and execution of these events. Tata Motors will organise all logistical, medical and service support for these expeditions.
Tata Motors Himalayan Experience is the first among a series of six expeditions planned through the year by Tata Motors Full Throttle for owners of Tata Motors' utility vehicles. The Himalayan Experience will be followed by the Konkan Experience, the Jungle Experience, the Thar Experience, the Kutch Experience and the Nilgiri Experience.
