Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO), today announed that it is acquiring the business and assets of a German automotive components supplier. Wündsch Weidinger produces functional plastic parts and systems for the automotive industry.
This company had filed for insolvency in March 2005. TACO would be acquiring the business and assets of the company, as well as its 270 employees, through its 100 per cent subsidiary set up in Germany for this purpose. This acquisiion would provide access to the European market for the interiors business of TACO. Weidinger’s facility is located at Coburg, in the state of Bavaria, Germany. The company offers development, tool shop, precision injection moulding, surface enrichment and assembly operations. Customers include major OEMs including Audi, Bentley, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen and Volvo.
