Singapore: Singapore President S. R. Nathan on Friday conferred the Honorary Citizen Award on Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of Tata Sons Ltd.

The City-State’s Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng described Mr. Tata as “an exemplary business leader,” who had “helped propel Singapore’s economy.”

Frank Tsao Wen-King, who had founded International Maritime Carriers Ltd. in Hong Kong in the 1960s, was also similarly honoured.
