A subsidiary of Tata Steel, Tata Pigments is engaged in the production of synthetic red and yellow oxides of iron. These are called Tata Red and Tata Yellow and are used to lend colour to paints, emulsions, cement floors, plastics, etc. The company's products are exported to the UK, Indonesia and Nepal.

Tata Pigments has also developed Tata Powders, a range of colours for application on cement floors, and Cemplus, its dry cement paint for exterior application.
