Tata Chemicals manufactures three varieties of cement: Ordinary Portland Cement (grades 43 and 53) and Pozzolana Portland Cement. Initially set up to utilise the solid waste generated from its soda ash operations, the company's cement plant now has an installed capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day.

Tata Chemicals markets its cement under the 'Shudh' brand name and has captured a sizeable share of the cement market in Gujarat in western India.
