The Tata Group is supporting the senior National Judo Championship for the year 2002. The championship, to be called the 'Tata National Judo Championship 2002', will be held on March 29, 30 and 31, 2002, at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai. 

The championship is India’s premier judo event, with 31 teams comprising 16 to 20 athletes each participating. This event is being organised and conducted by the Mumbai Judo Association. The president of the Judo Federation of India, Member of Parliament  Jagdish Tytler will  grace the occasion.

DD Sports will offer a two-day live coverage of the tournament, on March 30 and 31 from 1300 to 1900 hours.
