Arunkumar Ramanlal Gandhi is executive director, Tata Sons, since August 2003, and a member of the Group Corporate Centre of the
Tata Group.

As executive director, Gandhi has been assisting the Tata Group in acquiring diverse assets and companies across the globe, and gain access to critical assets, resources and world-class R&D facilities. In the course of his professional career, he has worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions, including both cross-border and domestic transactions. Prior to joining Tata Sons, he was with M/s NM Raiji & Co, Chartered Accountants, a firm with more than 60 years of professional standing. He joined the firm as a partner in July 1969, becoming a senior partner in 1993.

Gandhi is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, London.

Gandhi has been a member of various committees constituted by industry forums and regulatory bodies, such as SEBI's takeover panel exemption committee and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's accounting standards board.
